Hi, I'm Joel! I'm an R and Python developer currently working as a data scientist at Clarivate Analytics where aI work on problems like creating recommendation systems, classifiers, and text summarization. My primary domain of expertise, and most of the data that I work with at Clarivate is related to Academic Literature, and Patents. Prior to coming to San Francisco I obtained a BSc in Physics, an MSc in Medical Physics, and completed the Galvanize data science bootcamp! Broadly, my research interests include Monte Carlo methods, machine learning applications, and creating tools that enable predictive analytics.

I have developed and released two packages for R: radiomics (CRAN, github), and RImagePalette (fun live version!, CRAN, github). Contributions and feedback are always welcome!
